I'm not trying to be dependant on google everything. I own a Chromebook. It's okay...I guess.
My phone uses android. The wifi keeps cutting on randomly when I'm not using it. I know what that's about, and no longer have the energy to complain about it.
The search engine part of that company can take a long walk in some quicksand.
I don't understand what the requirements are for pages to get indexed, I don't get why they aren't indexing stuff I'm interested in seeing from other people, but their competitors are.
There's a real easy fix, and I just thought it would be nice to share it with people who may see this blog whenever I start getting regular traffic, sans G.
Launch Chrome, click on the "three dots" menu icon in the top-right corner of the window, and click "Settings."
Choose "Search engine" in the list on the left of the screen. Click on the drop-down box next to "Search engine used in the address bar" and choose DuckDuckGo.
You can do this on Desktop and mobile, so there's really no excuse to stay with using a terrible search engine. Try out Yandex, Bing and Yahoo as well. It's clear that these search sites still operate the way we all like, so Google's BS changes should be ignored for the clearly much better options.
